The practice is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. We are not open on a Saturday and Sunday. In line with NHS initiatives to extend GP hours of service, we offer a limited number of routine appointments outside normal surgery opening hours.
The purpose of these appointments is for patients who have genuine difficulty leaving work during the week to have more opportunity to see a doctor routinely in a 15 minute consultation. Patients will need to pre-book these appointments in advance.
Patients requiring urgent appointments or home visits during these hours will still be required to contact the out of hours' service by telephoning 111.

Contacting us by phone
Our phone lines are open as follows:
- Appointments line is open from 8.00am to 12.00pm (noon) and 2.00pm until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday
- The enquiries line is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm for any other query
Triaging System
To cope with the high demand for on-the-day appointments, the practice operates a triaging system. If you require an appointment for that day please call during the hours of 8.00am and 11.00am, our receptionists will take your details and pass them to our triage nurse. You will be called back as soon as possible. Please note triage is for acute problems that require on the day attention.
It is important you give a contact number as we will only try to call you once.
Emergencies will be seen on the same day but not always by your usual doctor.
It is your responsibility to arrive for your appointment on time. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel it as soon as possible - someone else may need it.

Out-Of-Hours Service - Tel 111
When the health centre is closed a message will give you details of how to contact the Emergency Doctors Service. Initially a receptionist will take your name, address and basic details of the problem. This information is passed to the doctor who will telephone you. These telephone calls are recorded for legal purposes. You may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre. Please only use this service if you cannot wait until normal surgery hours. To ensure that your records are complete, details of out-of-hours consultations are passed to the practice and are retained in your own medical records, as well as by the provider.
